Join ec-electric as an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Professional, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our workplace and the environment. This position entails reviewing, evaluating, and analyzing work environments while developing comprehensive policies and procedures to comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations. You will also design proactive programs aimed at preventing workplace injuries and minimizing environmental impacts.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with safety teams to achieve organizational safety goals.Plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs tailored to our operations.Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure all safety manuals and procedures reflect current standards.Coordinate with facility safety personnel to promote consistency and share best practices across sites.Mentor employees and leaders in developing essential technical safety skills.Drive the execution of the facility's safety vision and plan, guiding staff towards its achievement.Conduct or facilitate safety training for employees regarding regulations, hazard monitoring, and safety equipment use.Maintain an accurate training matrix for required site-specific training.Investigate incidents involving injuries or near misses, ensuring compliance with internal protocols and effective communication with all relevant parties.Lead risk and hazard assessments, implementing corrective actions to mitigate potential incidents.Focus on ergonomic initiatives that address body positioning issues to prevent musculoskeletal disorders.In collaboration with project teams, develop Environmental Health and Safety Plans (EHSP) for new projects, ensuring thorough preparation and understanding of upcoming scopes of work.
