Preconstruction Manager
Brisbane
Role Profile
As a Preconstruction Manager, you will oversee commercial interior fit-out projects from initial client engagement through the pre-contract phase. This role entails collaborating on design development, estimating costs, providing technical evaluations, and preparing documentation for tenders and contract agreements, culminating in a seamless handover to the Delivery team who will carry out the construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the estimating proposal from scope identification to final costing and submission of the proposal.
- Thoroughly analyze plans, drawings, and specifications, gaining a comprehensive understanding of all materials, labor, and time necessary for project completion.
- Collaborate with the Delivery team during the planning stages prior to project commencement.
- Review drawings and provide feedback to identify potential constructability challenges, value engineering opportunities, and an accurate scope of work. Drive any necessary corrections or changes.
- Manage cash flow effectively and communicate potential profit opportunities to the Project team.
- Conduct a thorough subcontractor bidding process to ensure competitive pricing and quality outcomes.
