POSITION OBJECTIVE:
- Oversee, develop, and supervise all aspects of time and cost management for various development projects.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Create a comprehensive Planning & Projects Controls Manual that outlines the objectives, purpose, organizational structure, job descriptions, responsibilities, process flows, and work plans.
2. Develop the Project Master Budget, detailing allocations for design, construction, and supervision across project components, ensuring it serves as an input for feasibility studies, which will be regularly reviewed and updated.
3. Prepare and maintain project cash flow forecasts.
4. Formulate, monitor, and revise the Project Master Schedule.
5. Validate the tender schedule in alignment with project parameters received from pertinent departments.
6. Collaborate with the Project Management team to devise a construction phasing strategy.
7. Compile project reporting packages, including regular updates and management presentations.
8. Engage with all internal stakeholders regarding planning and control activities.
9. Lead project performance evaluations, presenting findings and recommendations to management.
10. Identify cost and progress performance trends, recommending necessary corrective actions.
11. Develop Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models while considering key cost drivers in the construction industry.
12. Promote value engineering initiatives by encouraging sustainable design practices and identifying cost-saving opportunities, analyzing materials and construction methods to improve project value.
13. Implement control measures and risk mitigation policies to identify, assess, and manage risks associated with project deliverables, ensuring adherence to project goals and relevant regulations.
14. Initiate process improvement projects that streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
15. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to uncover opportunities for innovation and performance improvement.
