Experience Required
4 to 10 years of experience, including at least 2 years in Data Center Design.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering Support
Lead the design of HVAC systems for data centers, including:
- Chilled water systems (air-cooled / water-cooled)
- Primary & Secondary pumps
- CRAH / AHU-based cooling systems & Liquid cooling systems
- Ventilation and exhaust systems
Conduct engineering calculations:
- Heat load calculations
- Duct sizing and static pressure calculations
- Pipe sizing and basic hydraulic calculations
- Assist in developing:
- Layouts (equipment, ducting, piping)
- Schematics and basic system diagrams
Drawings & BIM Coordination
Prepare and update:
- AutoCAD drawings (plans, sections, schematics)
- Revit models (if applicable)
- Coordinate with Electrical, Architectural, Structural, and Fire teams
- Support clash resolution and model coordination
Documentation Support
Assist in the preparation of:
- Basis of Design (BOD)
- Design reports and calculations
- BOQs and technical specifications
- Maintain organized documentation and drawing revisions
Project Delivery Support
Work closely with senior engineers to:
- Implement design changes
- Address review feedback
- Support design development from concept to IFC
Assist in:
- Vendor drawing reviews
- Technical submittal evaluations
Construction & Commissioning Exposure
Provide support during:
- Construction stage (RFIs, drawing clarifications)
- Site coordination as required
Mandatory Skills & Competencies
Technical Fundamentals
Basic understanding of HVAC systems:
- Air conditioning systems (DX / chilled water)
- Ducting and piping systems
- Liquid Cooling – direct to chip CDU - minimum
- Ventilation systems
Knowledge of:
- Heat load calculations
- Basic airflow and hydraulic principles
