About the Team:
The EDC Retail team is integral to Paytm's suite of business tools, aimed at helping merchants grow and efficiently manage their operations through simplicity and data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
● Drive sales of our devices among merchants in designated micro-markets.
● Engage directly with high-quality merchants, ensuring a proactive sales approach.
● Mitigate risks related to fraud and chargebacks through careful merchant onboarding processes.
● Follow the risk management guidelines established by the team, visiting merchants to address high-risk concerns.
● Leverage existing relationships to gain referrals for other high-quality merchants.
● Collaborate with various Business & Technology Teams within Paytm to uncover and resolve operational bottlenecks.

Qualifications:
● Proven ability to identify and engage potential clients while leveraging your professional network.
● Experience in B2B field sales, including cold calling, pre-sales, and lead generation.
● Familiarity with technology and user experience principles.
● Excellent communication, sales, and negotiation skills.
● A commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to experiment.
Education: A bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
