Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze client specifications and prepare control and protection philosophies that align with project objectives.Create detailed metering and protection single line diagrams (SLDs) that clearly illustrate design principles, including the selection of relays and meters.Conduct CT/VT sizing, select appropriate relays, and prepare relay ordering codes for procurement processes.Develop schematic diagrams for interface equipment within control and relay panel schemes to ensure comprehensive documentation.Draft logic and interlocking documentation, including signal lists, trip matrices, and interlock logic diagrams.Generate circuit diagrams for both new and existing systems, relevant for retrofit projects.Prepare cable block diagrams and electrical control cable schedules along with interconnection charts.Design wiring and termination diagrams, core sheets, and SCADA I/O schedules.Utilize panel engineering skills to create layouts, general arrangements, circuit diagrams, wiring tables, and terminal tables.Modify existing drawings using red and green mark-ups in accordance with established standards.Coordinate interfaces with primary equipment, BCU, SCADA/RTU, and teleprotection systems.Design auxiliary power systems, including LV AC and DC panels, auxiliary transformers, battery and charger sizing, and CB selectivity studies.Review and vet vendor drawings and documents related to control and relay panels and auxiliary systems.Conduct vendor offer reviews and coordinate with primary design and lead engineers.Facilitate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for primary and secondary systems as needed.Compile as-built documentation and ensure the timely delivery of design deliverables while monitoring project schedule impacts.Adhere to all relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.Important RelationshipsCollaborate with HOD, Team Lead, Lead Engineer, and fellow engineers within the project team of REC PS Team and REN Global team across multiple countries.Engage with colleagues from the Energy (power systems) team in various REN offices.
