Role Overview Altius Search Group is recruiting for an equipment finance client in Costa Mesa, CA. This full-time, onsite position focuses on operations and business development for modular solutions. The Operations and Business Development Specialist plays a central role in managing modular asset lifecycles and driving revenue through resale and re-leasing channels. The position suits someone skilled in sales, operations, and asset management, especially those who can turn expiring leases into new business and handle logistics with confidence. What You Will Do Business Development and Revenue Growth Identify, network, and follow up to generate resale and re-leasing opportunities for modular assets. Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, resellers, and strategic partners. Keep CRM records, pricing models, and opportunity pipelines accurate and up to date. Work with Marketing to promote available modular inventory and speed up deal cycles. Asset Lifecycle and Inventory Management Develop expertise in modular building specifications, configurations, and current inventory. Monitor lease maturities and plan for resale or redeployment of assets. Handle end-of-lease actions, including billing adjustments and payoffs. Coordinate logistics, asset returns, storage, and vendor relationships. Operational Execution and Compliance Manage contracts, invoicing, and expenses related to modular assets. Ensure insurance coverage meets requirements, including government mandates. Audit and secure key documents such as titles, MSOs, and compliance files. Support government contract processes, including amendments and option letters. Collaboration and Reporting Serve as a link between customers, partners, and internal teams. Prepare reports on pipeline activity, transactions, and margin opportunities. Suggest and contribute to process improvements that support efficiency and profitability.

This role involves close collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESIdentify and select suppliers for specific products from our approved supplier network.Collaborate with key suppliers to expedite product development by engaging in activities such as:Rapid concept scoping to finalize requirements.Conducting feature trade-off analyses.Developing should-cost and clean sheet models.Jointly designing products through clear statements of work.Simulating mechanical and electronic designs.Lead the creation and consolidation of a manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM), partnering with Quality and Manufacturing teams to ensure flexible production ramp-up.Oversee capital expenditure (CAPEX) throughout New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.Utilize value-stream mapping to enhance supply network flexibility and reduce lead times.Perform BOM risk assessments, including sourcing alternatives for components.Ensure all component qualifications are completed prior to production commencement.Simplify processes through optimization of commonality and rationalization of components and suppliers.Direct cost engineering initiatives to align the total cost of ownership (TCO) with product cost across the lifecycle.Address cost-related challenges, including tariffs, import/export costs, and inflationary pressures.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.A minimum of 5 years of experience in product sourcing or supply chain management within a technology or manufacturing environment.Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to assess and mitigate risks in supply chain processes.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a knack for building strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.Proficiency in cost analysis and value engineering.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.Experience with advanced manufacturing processes and technologies is a plus.
