This position is essential for delivering top-tier cost management services on a large-scale, mission-critical data center program.This is a strategic, client-facing leadership opportunity that demands outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across various levels.In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic direction that ensures the effective delivery of cost management services while promoting the core values and vision of Turner & Townsend. Your responsibilities will include managing both internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and ensuring accountability throughout the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Oversee comprehensive cost management throughout all phases of the project, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline for hyperscale data center initiatives and other sectors.Create and sustain detailed cost plans, estimates, and forecasts by utilizing industry benchmarks and technical documentation.Manage change control processes: evaluate and negotiate change orders, monitor post-contract variances, and ensure strong commercial governance.Guide contractor and subcontractor pricing assessments, validate scopes, and develop procurement strategies; provide guidance on contracting and procurement methodologies and support program-level capital planning.Work closely with scheduling teams to synchronize cost forecasts with project timelines and milestones.Act as the primary contact for commercial status reporting; generate and present monthly cost reports, executive summaries, and financial updates to stakeholders.Engage proactively with clients, stakeholders, and consultants at all stages of the project; maintain effective communication and cultivate strong relationships with clients, vendors, and project teams.Lead cost risk analysis, scenario planning, and sensitivity testing; monitor market trends and provide insights on escalation, labor availability, and material pricing.Develop innovative strategies for cost optimization and value engineering to enhance project outcomes and minimize lifecycle costs.Establish and monitor performance metrics through KPIs and critical success factors; prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership.Manage financial performance utilizing internal systems to track margins, forecasts, and reporting; implement and uphold Business Management Systems (BMS) and company methodologies to ensure adherence to best practices.Identify and promote opportunities to enhance cost management processes, templates, and tools; lead knowledge management initiatives by documenting lessons learned and key insights.Provide strong leadership and a clear vision for the team; mentor and develop junior staff, conduct performance evaluations, and cultivate a high-performance culture.
