About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer who possesses both technical acumen and a keen interest in tackling intricate problems. In this critical position within our Managed Services team, you will contribute to the upkeep of essential infrastructure and engage in the troubleshooting of network and security solutions.
This role is ideal for someone who excels in fast-paced environments, approaches problem-solving methodically, and is adept at navigating a diverse range of technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with technical incidents
- Identify and resolve network and security issues
- Oversee change control and risk assessments within managed service frameworks
- Execute infrastructure modifications and upgrades with precision, ensuring minimal disruption
- Enhance and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures
- Handle vendor escalations and manage technical case resolutions
- Conduct regular maintenance and patching of network and security systems
- Guide junior engineers and disseminate technical knowledge

- Thorough understanding of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring tools

Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a similar role or field-based position
- CCNA Certification is desirable
- A valid driving license is essential, as travel may be required
- Proven ability to troubleshoot enterprise networks and associated technologies
- Knowledge of Wide Area Networking technologies and routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
- Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark and other network troubleshooting utilities
Essential Technical Expertise:
Experience administering and troubleshooting various technologies and platforms.
