As a pivotal member of Asso Group, the Project Engineer will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of offshore projects. You will be tasked with the technical delivery of assigned responsibilities, ensuring that all client specifications and contractual commitments are met. Your involvement will extend to project execution aboard our vessels, where adherence to approved documentation and corporate objectives is paramount.
This position requires not only technical expertise but also sound decision-making to drive successful project outcomes and further the objectives of Asso Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering, preparation, and execution phases of the project.
- Develop comprehensive project documentation in line with employer requirements, RQHSE standards, and contractual agreements, including:
- Method statements and related documents.
- Facilitate inter-departmental communication.
- Share vital information with other departments to generate necessary project documentation and analyses, such as:
- Cable Installation Analysis.
- Geotechnical documents (e.g., Burial assessment study).
- Review engineering studies and documentation from other departments to align with project goals.
- Ensure open and effective communication within the project team.
- Participate in and lead internal engineering meetings.
- Maintain active liaison with clients and subcontractors, managing technical aspects to ensure compliance with their Statements of Work (SoW).
- Keep a daily diary and action trackers to monitor project progress effectively.
- Engage in client meetings, both remotely and in-person when necessary.
- Adapt information and feedback from internal and client meetings to update project documentation accordingly.
- Join offshore teams for project execution as needed.
- During offshore assignments, responsibilities include:
- Receiving and reviewing logbook notes and comments.
- Preparing Daily Progress Reports (DPR).
- Participating in onboard vessel meetings.
- Recording and preparing minutes of meetings.
- Maintaining close communication with client representatives.
- Monitoring project progress onboard the vessel according to schedules.
- Ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Addressing ad hoc needs as they arise.
- Maintaining daily communication with the office project team.
- Constantly communicating with the Offshore Manager and Supervisors.
- Engaging with the HSE advisor regularly.
- Collaborating with the onboard survey team.
- Reviewing survey data and project outcomes daily.
- Assisting in the preparation of Vessel HSE reports with technical information.
- Preparing Management of Change (MOC) documentation.
- Compiling Field Reports.
