Position: Field Service Technician – Level 2 or 3
Role Overview:
As a Field Service Technician at IEM, you will receive comprehensive training on our specialized equipment and commissioning processes in Ashburn, VA for approximately four weeks. Your primary responsibilities will involve hands-on field service activities at customer sites, focusing on the installation of various components and subassemblies, as well as basic commissioning of IEM equipment primarily in data center or industrial environments. Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in project meetings as needed, liaising with contractors and clients.
- Installing and modifying electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies, including panelboard interiors, circuit breakers, bus bars, switchgear section doors and subpanels, and control components.
- Conducting basic testing of modified assemblies (visual inspections, ductor testing, etc.).
- Performing basic commissioning tasks for switchboards, control panels, and power products.
- Troubleshooting electrical circuits and networking equipment.
- Collaborating with the Technical Project Manager or manufacturing facilities to resolve product or commissioning issues identified in the field.
- Executing preventive maintenance, field installations, and modifications to existing equipment.
- Providing technical product support.
