This covers payments, analytics, subscriptions, new product features, text-to-speech systems, and external APIs. The team seeks someone who enjoys product development, thinks strategically, and consistently delivers strong user experiences. A hands-on approach, clear communication, and a strong work ethic matter here. Leadership comes from technical skill and results, not hierarchy. What You Will Do Design, build, and maintain APIs, including public text-to-speech endpoints and internal services for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and usage tracking, so they scale and fit business needs. Oversee the backend API landscape, focusing on performance and long-term maintainability. Work on B2B solutions, customizing and integrating backend systems for enterprise clients. Collaborate with teams across Speechify to ensure backend architecture supports the product strategy and improves user experience. Location This role is based in Gurgaon, India.

Project Management:Develop and execute project timelines in accordance with APQP procedures.Collaborate with project managers to maintain Gantt charts for tracking project progress.Innovate cost-saving ideas and solutions to enhance project efficiency.Lead independent projects for PPAP approvals and manage production handovers.Conduct Kaizen events while managing regular project development tasks.Oversee NPD inventory management.Product/Process Management:Ensure process control through accurate documentation and regular updates.Execute detailed analytical evaluations of concepts before selection and detailing.Design processes based on lean manufacturing principles.Hands-on experience with cycle time studies, SWC charts, time and motion studies, and line balancing is essential.Exposure to SMED, LEAN, and VSM projects is required.Conduct capacity analysis and establish manufacturing standards along with contingency planning.Knowledge of ergonomics, quality improvement, and continuous improvement methodologies is necessary.Familiarity with 5S, process optimization, and low-cost automation practices is expected.Initiate continuous improvements to minimize operator fatigue through innovative tools and machinery on the production line.Develop new process concepts to optimize production and improve yield, while establishing guidelines for manufacturing workflow on the shop floor.Expertise in machine design, development, trial execution, installation, and production handover is required.Experience in VAVE and the ability to lead independent VAVE projects is essential.Customer Relations:Respond promptly to Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and customer inquiries.Assist in customer reviews of projects and programs.Help prepare and present concept and manufacturing design proposals to clients.Adhere to and promote safety and environmental policies within the organization.
