The Role:
We are searching for a dynamic Head of Engineering Productivity & Experience to spearhead the transformation of software development, testing, and delivery at AlphaSense. This impactful Director-level position will influence developer experience and engineering productivity across our global team of approximately 400 engineers through innovative platforms, cutting-edge tools, and enhanced engineering practices. Initially, you will lead a dedicated team of around 13 engineers while establishing the operational framework and future direction for the Engineering Productivity domain.
Your mission is to formulate a strategy for an integrated platform ecosystem that connects AI-driven development, developer tooling, web infrastructure, and quality assurance automation. You will guide the advancement of platforms designed for high-confidence releases across local development environments, microfrontend delivery, and automated quality engineering, while collaborating closely with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Cloud Platform teams to create a streamlined developer-facing CI/CD experience.
A crucial aspect of your role will be to enhance the AI-assisted Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will be responsible for defining and implementing AI-powered tools and workflows that significantly boost developer productivity and experience. Key focus areas include AI-assisted code reviews, test generation and coverage improvement, comprehensive developer documentation, and overall enhancement of the inner-loop development experience.
