Position Overview:
The Trading Anti-Fraud Manager (TAF Manager) will spearhead our Trading Anti-Fraud (TAF) initiative, responsible for crafting and implementing a robust framework aimed at the detection, investigation, and prevention of trading fraud and abusive practices across all product lines and geographic regions. This role not only involves managing the daily operations of the TAF team but also serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on emerging fraud risks, mitigation strategies, and enhancements to trading products, promotions, and operational processes in alignment with industry best practices in the FX/CFD sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and nurture the TAF team, ensuring exceptional handling of all fraud alerts, investigations, and case management.
- Own and refine the trading anti-fraud framework, rules, and monitoring systems to identify abusive trading behaviors, safeguard A-book performance, and mitigate losses associated with fraud and abuse.
- Collaborate with Trading, Risk, Product, Marketing, and Compliance teams to evaluate fraud risk in new and existing products and promotions, implementing effective controls from the design phase.
- Deliver regular reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, focusing on fraud patterns, key performance indicators (KPIs), key risk indicators (KRIs), control deficiencies, and initiatives for improvement.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in FX/CFD trading fraud, dealing, trading risk, or trading support, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- In-depth understanding of FX/CFD products, trading conditions, client flow dynamics, and prevalent trading fraud and abuse scenarios within retail brokerage.
- Expertise in advanced Excel and Google Sheets; practical experience with trading platforms, monitoring/alerting tools, and case management workflows.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline; proficiency in SQL or Python for data analysis is highly desirable.
