Conduct daily audits of Patient Services Representatives (PSRs) work to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support PSRs in balancing their Comprehensive Balancing sheets effectively.
Assist PSRs in locating office codes, CPT, ICD-10, or any charges not available on the router.
Help in updating and maintaining clinical forms to ensure accuracy.
Perform all tasks outlined in the PSR job description during peak times or in the absence of staff.
Communicate upcoming changes to satellite offices promptly.
Draft and type memos for PSRs as necessary.
Engage with physicians, clinical staff, and supervisors to resolve specific patient issues or departmental matters.
Collaborate closely with Appointment, Patient Accounting, Electronic Billing, Quality Control, Cash Posting, and Coding teams to ensure operational efficiency.
Plan, develop, and enhance methods, procedures, and controls to improve unit functions continually.
Stay updated on information relevant to the insurance industry and Privia Medical Group - Gulf Coast reimbursement policies.
Draft new or revised policies and procedures as needed.
Monitor departmental resources, including staffing levels, to optimize usage and plan for future staffing needs.
Ensure follow-up on special requests or projects for completeness.
Initiate service requests for system issues and follow through until resolution. Provide guidance on Athena EMR and assess equipment needs for PSR personnel.
Conduct interviews, hire, and terminate employees in consultation with the Practice Manager.
Encourage ideas and suggestions from staff and physicians to enhance departmental performance.
Set and track performance goals and standards, communicating these to department personnel. Review and complete annual performance evaluations based on these standards.
Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to PSR personnel.
Maintain a skilled staff through ongoing training programs to support job knowledge and career progression.
Evaluate and update job descriptions to reflect accurate job responsibilities.
Assign specific tasks or special projects to personnel as required.
Review payroll time clock edits for department staff.
Participate in educational and developmental activities.
Attend meetings as requested and perform additional duties as directed by the Physician Owner(s) or Practice Manager.
