About the Platform Software Engineer Role Based in Kolkata, this role sits on the Platform team, which owns all backend services. The scope covers payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text-to-speech features, and external APIs. The work is strategic and hands-on, shaping core systems that power Speechify’s products. We look for engineers who think big, adapt quickly, and care about delivering great user experiences. What You Will Do Design, build, and maintain APIs, including the public TTS API and internal APIs for payment, subscription, authentication, and consumption tracking, so they meet business and scaling needs. Oversee the backend API ecosystem, improving performance and maintainability as the platform grows. Support B2B solutions, working on customizations and integrations for enterprise clients. Partner with teams across Speechify to ensure backend architecture supports product goals and user needs.
