Role Overview In the capacity of Mineral Property Administrator, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Director of Land Management by managing all aspects of the coal royalty system. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with property control documents, conducting internal audits, and providing support to various stakeholders concerning lease compliance issues and land-related matters. Key Responsibilities As a Mineral Property Administrator, your duties include: Maintaining and updating the coal royalty system, including vendor and lessor information, lease provisions, and compliance terms. Responding to inquiries from lessors and their agents, providing essential information as needed. Locating missing lessors and obtaining necessary documents such as wills and deeds. Handling surrenders and releases of leases as appropriate. Collaborating with other departments for budget, reserves, mapping, and other land-related purposes. Assisting in the implementation of the newly-installed coal royalty system. SOX Compliance Duties: Conducting audits of the coal royalty system to verify data accuracy and payment compliance. Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the coal royalty system to provide backup support for the Director when necessary. Support and Special Projects: Extracting property control information from electronic databases and compiling necessary reports.
