Key responsibilities
- Product design and development: Use CAD software to create and refine furniture concepts. Develop detailed product specifications that reflect customer needs. Ensure each design meets standards for safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Research and feasibility: Carry out research and feasibility studies to identify opportunities for new products or improvements. Analyze market trends and customer feedback to spot areas for growth.
- Prototyping and testing: Test prototypes to identify and resolve design issues. Evaluate prototypes for durability, functionality, and regulatory compliance.
- Quality assurance and compliance: Ensure all products meet required safety standards and regulations. Support testing and quality control to confirm product performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with design, production, marketing, and sales teams to align products with customer and business needs. Offer technical guidance to sales and marketing on product features and benefits.
- Production oversight: Oversee manufacturing and production processes, setting standards and seeking ways to improve efficiency. Analyze workflows to find cost-saving opportunities.
- Continuous improvement: Update and enhance existing products to stay competitive. Implement changes efficiently and cost-effectively, based on careful analysis.
