Join our dynamic team at Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc. as a Construction Estimator! In this pivotal role, you will meticulously prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. Your expertise will be crucial as you analyze project plans, specifications, and relevant documentation to accurately determine material and labor requirements. Collaboration is key; work closely with construction project management, department leadership, and stakeholders to ensure your estimates are both comprehensive and precise. You will also be responsible for soliciting, reviewing, and evaluating quotes from subcontractors and vendors. Conducting bid risk assessments and developing monetized quantifications will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will craft and write all bid packages and scopes of work for subcontractors. Maintain and update historical cost data for future projects, participate in bid review meetings, and present your estimates to department leadership. Assist in project setup and provide ongoing cost control support as projects are executed.
