This position focuses on identifying, qualifying, and securing non-dilutive funding and incentives globally, which will bolster our objectives in growth, innovation, sustainability, digital transformation, and workforce development.
As the subject-matter expert in global grant landscapes, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders to define funding strategies, manage high-quality submissions, and ensure compliance and reporting post-award. This is a hands-on, impactful role ideal for someone adept at transitioning from market analysis and stakeholder engagement to leading bids and executing awarded projects.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a global grants pipeline that aligns with corporate priorities including innovation, R&D, payments and FX technology, AI and data, cybersecurity, sustainability, training and skills, market expansion, and trade facilitation.
- Conduct systematic mapping of national, supranational, and regional funding schemes (e.g., UK, EU, US federal/state, Canada, LATAM, APAC, Middle East, Africa), along with sector-specific programs pertinent to fintech and financial services.
- Lead qualification processes, bid strategies, consortium management when necessary, and oversee the entire application lifecycle.
- Coordinate input from cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Finance, Compliance, Legal, ESG, and HR, ensuring proposals are commercially viable, technically sound, and compliant with funder requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with funding bodies, innovation agencies, development banks, export credit agencies, and regional investment authorities, upholding a robust governance framework for due diligence, eligibility, co-funding, and state aid/subsidies.
