Compiles essential information on the receipt and disbursement of materials, calculating inventory balances, prices, and costs. Ensures materials and equipment are packaged with accurate shipping documentation and are adequately protected for transport. Identifies the most efficient and cost-effective routing and modes of transportation for shipments. Initiates investigations into misdirected shipments, damages, shortages, or overcharges in freight costs. Assists with or performs additional related tasks as assigned.
