You will lead a small, senior AI team and collaborate closely with the CTO to determine how AI influences every aspect of our product and operations.Our AI systems manage hundreds of thousands of healthcare interactions each month—encompassing voice agents, document processing, and clinical decision support. Your mission will be to expand the boundaries of what is possible: enhancing model performance, crafting evaluation frameworks, architecting agents, and remaining at the cutting edge of applied AI in a regulated environment. This position is ideal for someone eager to shape AI strategy for a rapidly growing company while remaining deeply involved in technical work.Your Impact in the First 3–6 Months:Own our AI systems end-to-end—models, prompts, evaluation pipelines, and agent architectures—while pinpointing the most impactful enhancements.Develop and refine rigorous evaluation frameworks that accurately measure model reliability, accuracy, and clinical relevance.Lead and expand the AI team while actively contributing code—a player-coach role with a strong focus on development.Collaborate with the CTO to define the applied AI roadmap—determining where to invest in fine-tuning versus prompting, where to build versus buy, and how to stay ahead in this rapidly evolving field.Implement AI enhancements into production: design APIs, optimize inference, and create observability to monitor system performance.
