Role overview
The Account Executive, Emerging Markets (EMAE), works to expand DoorDash’s presence by bringing high-potential SMB merchants onto the platform. This hybrid position is available in Madison, WI; Oklahoma, OK; St. Paul, MN; Kansas City, MO; Atlanta, GA; Milwaukee, WI; Las Vegas, NV; or Santa Fe, NM. The role covers the entire sales process, from initial outreach to closing agreements.
Account Executives manage a dedicated book of about 225 merchants, focusing on outbound sales activities. Daily work includes structured cold calling, managing a sales pipeline, and developing creative outreach strategies. The position reports to an Inside Sales Manager and offers ongoing coaching and career development. Hybrid work arrangements involve both in-office and remote work, with some travel for training, team events, or business needs.
What you will do
- Drive growth for small and mid-size merchants in emerging markets by introducing them to DoorDash’s platform.
- Manage an outbound sales workflow, with a focus on daily cold calls and structured engagement.
- Oversee a pipeline of approximately 225 assigned leads and work toward a quarterly sales quota.
- Build relationships with merchants in lower-density areas, tailoring outreach for each business.
- Use sales tools and outreach channels to improve lead conversion rates.
- Meet daily and weekly activity expectations.
- Participate in Prep Kitchen, DoorDash’s inside-sales training program.
- Develop sales skills through regular coaching and performance feedback.
