Role Overview: Mechanical Design Section Manager
This leadership position oversees the Mechanical Design Section in Mojave, CA. The manager reports to the Engineering Department Manager and collaborates with other Section Managers to grow the Engineering team’s capabilities in line with business goals.
Key responsibilities include managing and developing engineering talent focused on the form, fit, and function of both ground and flight mechanical systems. The role calls for hands-on leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to team development.
What You Will Do
- Lead and mentor the Mechanical Design Section within the Engineering team
- Oversee the design and integration of mechanical systems for both ground and flight applications
- Develop engineering talent and foster a collaborative team culture
- Work with fellow Section Managers to align team efforts with company objectives
- Ensure mechanical systems meet requirements for form, fit, and function
