Job Description:
Within the Development Directorate, the Valorization and Project Engineering unit supports researchers at Centrale Nantes in assembling legal and financial frameworks for research contracts, as well as identifying and protecting research outcomes. You will be the key local contact for researchers, guiding and assisting them in their endeavors.
As part of strengthening this unit by establishing a new team focused on multi-partner Research & Innovation programs and developing relationships with the socio-economic world, you will be responsible for activities related to pre-maturation and maturation support, technology transfer, research valorization, and intellectual property protection.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Promoting and managing pre-maturation and maturation project calls (specific NExT components, Sci-ty program, etc.) and assisting researchers in project setup.
- Monitoring project progress, managing reporting, and producing assessments and reports for a portfolio of projects.
- Identifying research outcomes within laboratories that have valorization potential.
- Overseeing valorization and protection actions for research outcomes (creation of spin-offs, patent applications, software licensing, etc.), tracking revenues from valorization, and managing related administrative aspects.
- Facilitating relationships between the institution's laboratories and valorization partners.
- Participating in awareness and training initiatives for researchers regarding research outcome protection, and conducting technological monitoring.
