This pivotal role is integral to our stock loan franchise, tasked with processing and fulfilling locate requests for hard-to-borrow securities, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with Regulations SHO 203 and 204. The ideal candidate will possess practical experience in the locate or securities lending arena, complemented by a robust understanding of short selling mechanics and regulatory frameworks. This individual will collaborate closely with the Head of Securities Lending as well as operations, risk, and compliance teams to optimize locate fulfillment, foster counterparty relationships, and contribute to the expansion of RQD's securities finance platform. Key Responsibilities Manage incoming locate requests from clients and internal desks, ensuring timely and accurate determination of availability and pricing for hard-to-borrow securities. Monitor firm and street inventory to maximize utilization, identify sourcing opportunities, and minimize borrowing costs. Develop and maintain relationships with external locate providers and counterparties to enhance RQD's sourcing network and improve fill rates. Ensure compliance with Regulations SHO 203 and 204 for all locate activities, maintaining accurate records and audit trails. Analyze demand patterns, borrow rates, and market dynamics to identify revenue opportunities and refine pricing strategies.
