Acting as the primary quality leader on the floor, this role supports the Quality Manager by driving daily performance, enforcing quality standards, coaching technicians, and addressing quality issues in a dynamic manufacturing environment.Collaboration is key in this role, as the Quality Assurance Supervisor works closely with the Manufacturing and Engineering teams, as well as other cross-functional departments, to support production while safeguarding customer satisfaction through meticulous inspection, testing, corrective action, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Supervisor ensures that quality expectations are uniformly applied across shifts, ensuring that technicians are well-trained, engaged, and meeting performance standards.Key Responsibilities Include:Lead and guide Quality Technicians on 1st and 2nd shifts to ensure consistent execution of quality inspections, testing, and documentation requirements.Ensure strict adherence to plant and enterprise Quality Systems, standard work practices, compliance requirements, and customer specifications.Coordinate daily quality activities to align with production schedules, focusing on Initial Quality, defect prevention, and non-conformance management.Provide technical guidance, coaching, and constructive feedback to technicians regarding inspection methodologies, testing procedures, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.Review and validate quality data, inspection records, and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.Lead and support containment, corrective action, and error-proofing initiatives in collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, and the Quality Manager.Engage in continuous improvement activities, such as kaizen events and root cause analysis, while developing standard work focused on quality and safety.Identify and analyze quality trends, risks, and systemic issues, escalating concerns and implementing sustainable solutions.Assist in internal audits, layered process audits, and compliance activities as necessary.Host and engage with external visitors, including auditors, suppliers, and customers, providing plant tours and explaining quality processes and controls.Participate in the training, onboarding, and ongoing development of Quality Technicians.Facilitate effective communication and handoff of quality issues between shifts.
