As a pivotal member of our testing team, the Test Technician plays a crucial role in executing and managing testing projects from inception to completion. This position involves collaboration with both internal teams and external clients, ensuring that all project requirements, specifications, timelines, and customer expectations are met. You will work closely with test engineers to bring innovative testing solutions to life, contributing to team and client meetings.This role operates on a day shift schedule, consisting of four 10-hour shifts from Tuesday to Friday, with working hours from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Join UTAC as a Service Technician, where you'll take the lead in training and developing our service technician and engineering teams within the service group. Your expertise will be crucial as you oversee the servicing of diverse test systems, focusing primarily on dynamometer test cells for propulsion and driveline systems. You will engage with dynamometer control software to conduct customer tests, carry out test equipment calibrations, and troubleshoot any issues with test cell equipment. This role also includes setting up customer test cell and auxiliary testing equipment.As a key member of the service team, you'll interact with both internal and external customers, supporting UTAC's various test labs and customer systems. Responsibilities may require travel to customer sites and direct engagement with clients to foster strong customer relationships.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the organization, execution, and coordination of customer jobs with technical responsibility.Act as a primary technical liaison with customers, independently addressing technical matters related to test systems.Lead service team projects to successful completion.Conduct self-guided troubleshooting and offer solutions for customer issues.Assist in the construction and maintenance of dynamometer systems.Document service, calibration, and maintenance reports comprehensively.Provide guidance to customers on maintenance best practices.Train fellow service engineers and technicians on UTAC procedures.Support the UTAC mission and uphold company values at all times.Help maintain equipment inventory and recommend specialized tools and equipment needs.Maintain a resource calendar in collaboration with the service team.
