Position Overview
As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work alongside skilled electricians, assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. This role demands a strong dedication to safety, adherence to electrical codes, and a genuine eagerness to learn the trade. You will support journeymen and foremen in various tasks while gaining invaluable hands-on experience to enhance your skills.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Assisting in the installation of electrical raceways, wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
- Pulling wires, mounting panels, and facilitating electrical terminations.
- Following safety procedures and work instructions as directed by supervisors and foremen.
- Utilizing and maintaining protective equipment and safety gear provided.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical drawings, and work orders.
- Measuring, cutting, and bending wire and conduit using various tools.
- Assisting in troubleshooting electrical issues and performing repairs.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Participating in training and educational opportunities to enhance technical skills.
