Success in this position hinges on effective collaboration with both offshore and onshore teams. This role reports directly to the Project Manager. If you're eager to advance your career in a dynamic environment, DOF Subsea Canada presents an excellent opportunity!We aim to expand our survey team to support ongoing long-term international and local projects, with expected rotation cycles of 4 to 6 weeks.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall and maintain survey equipment during offshore operations;Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment, provide inventory lists, and prepare fault reports;Oversee the installation and testing of survey equipment and systems, as well as their ongoing maintenance;Establish networks and connect survey sensors to the online system;Familiarity with serial data protocols, Ethernet communications, and fiber optics;Assemble and terminate various types of cabling for interfacing, including antennas, networks, serial data, video, and subsea sensors;Manage all survey/ROV interface cables;Notify the Party Chief / Project Manager of any non-serviceable survey equipment;Commission, calibrate, and decommission all survey equipment to meet the satisfaction of the Offshore Manager/Party Chief;Ensure safe operation of survey equipment and systems;Responsible for the offshore tracking of project equipment and the demobilization and shipping of survey equipment;Support the on-line surveyor during operations;Maintain equipment logs and inventories;Prepare and update cabling and interface diagrams;Exhibit effective problem-solving skills;Communicate daily with the Party Chief.
