This position is located at our headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.
As the Senior Revenue Recognition Accountant, you will oversee and execute the revenue accounting function for the company. This includes managing all revenue recognition and accounting processes, conducting critical contract assessments, and collaborating closely with the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting to provide guidance to internal stakeholders on complex revenue arrangements. Success in this role hinges on building robust, cross-functional relationships with teams in Sales, Operations, Legal, and Finance (including Billing and FP&A).
Your Responsibilities:
- Gain an in-depth understanding of Relay products and the order-to-cash cycle to deliver precise revenue recognition guidance based on authoritative literature and company policies.
- Prepare monthly revenue recognition journal entries, accounts receivable, unbilled receivable and deferred revenue reconciliations, as well as other monthly closing tasks as assigned.
- Review sales/purchase orders, specific customer contracts, and invoices for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate revenue accounting treatment.
