The Role
As a Senior Structural Design Engineer, you will oversee structural design projects spanning residential, commercial, healthcare, and industrial sectors. This position offers a hands-on experience with responsibilities ranging from the initial concept phase through to construction implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process and prepare calculations/specifications for various materials including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations and Eurocodes.
- Conduct site assessments and participate in project meetings.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers while collaborating with clients, architects, and contractors.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in a consulting engineering environment (experience in Ireland preferred).
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (CENG) with Engineers Ireland, or nearing qualification.
- Proficient in design software such as Tekla, Robot, SCIA, and Revit/BIM.
- Fluency in English with exceptional communication abilities.
