Your Role
As a crucial member of the Airfreight (Import) team, you will be instrumental in overseeing inbound shipments. Your responsibilities will include ensuring seamless coordination from the origin to the final delivery while maintaining high service standards for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the entire import airfreight shipment process, from pre-alert to final delivery
• Collaborate effectively with overseas agents, airlines, customers, and internal teams
• Review and validate AWB/HAWB and import documents to ensure compliance with regulations
• Adhere to customs requirements and IATA guidelines
• Provide timely updates on shipments, including notifications of delays and delivery arrangements
• Coordinate cargo arrival, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery
• Maintain accurate records and updates in the system
• Monitor shipments to meet KPI targets and ensure timely closure
• Handle billing, cost verification, and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Assist with quotation requests for import shipments as needed
• Ensure compliance with customer SOPs and service standards
• Proactively identify and resolve operational issues as they arise
Key Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in airfreight import operations
• Strong knowledge of import documentation, customs clearance, and IATA regulations
• DGR certification is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office and logistics management systems
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and customer-focused, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
• A proactive team player with a positive attitude
