High-volume event metering, token-based usage tracking, distributed workflows, and multi-dimensional pricing are not standard billing issues, and there is no ready-made solution.We are seeking a back-end focused software engineer who is ready to take ownership of our core billing and payments systems. In this role, you will design, implement, and ensure the reliability and evolution of our systems, enabling accurate usage metering, timely invoicing, and scalable revenue collection.This is a greenfield opportunity in a high-ownership, rapidly evolving AI company where you will manage real systems with significant stakes, coupled with the freedom to redesign the foundations as we expand.You will engage with backend systems, integrate with Stripe and Orb, and develop internal data pipelines to guarantee that billing data is accurate, auditable, and resilient.
