Role Overview: QA/QC Agent – Telecommunications Connectivity The QA/QC Agent works on-site at active construction projects, supporting major technology clients. This position focuses on ensuring that connectivity and telecommunications systems are installed accurately and meet all design, code, and industry standards. The QA/QC Agent acts as part of the Owner’s team, overseeing daily construction activities, inspecting installations, and maintaining quality from start to finish. This role is well suited to someone who pays close attention to detail, enjoys working in the field, and understands telecommunications and connectivity systems. A willingness to learn is important. Job Overview:The Controls Drafter plays a pivotal role in designing and drafting combustion control systems, with a strong focus on electrical and instrumentation components. This position requires active participation in project meetings, effective collaboration with Controls and Project Engineers, and adept management of project timelines to deliver comprehensive control system packages for engineering assessment.Key Responsibilities:· Upon confirmation of customer orders, verify equipment selection and operational design as per sales specifications.· Collaborate with internal engineering teams to select equipment and components essential for designing combustion control systems.· Utilize AutoCAD for the development of detailed drafting packages for combustion systems.· Create electrical wiring diagrams (Ladder diagrams) and layout designs for PLCs and panels.· Develop overall schematic designs, bill of materials, and compliance tagging.· Apply relevant codes, standards, and specifications as required.· Engage with Controls Engineers and Project Engineers to ensure alignment on system design and project timelines.· Execute additional duties as assigned. Qualifications:· Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related Technology field (Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) or equivalent professional experience.· Minimum of 2 years of design and/or drafting experience in electrical systems, instrumentation, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).· Proficient in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.· Preferred experience in areas such as electrical design/installation and familiarity with:· Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)· Power Distribution Systems· Relay Logic· Instrumentation Selection (e.g., transmitters, meters)· Variable Frequency Drives· Voltage ranges from 12VDC to 480VAC· Knowledge of applicable local and federal codes and regulations, including NRTL applications like UL/cUL and CSA, as well as NFPA standards.· Understanding of standard wiring practices in both classified and unclassified environments.· Ability to work efficiently with standard computer software and professional correspondence.
