Join our team as a Field Data Collection Driver and play a crucial role in a cutting-edge digital mapping initiative. We are looking for a dependable and tech-savvy individual to operate a company vehicle outfitted with a state-of-the-art 360-degree camera system, capturing high-quality street-level imagery. This imagery will contribute to global geospatial technology platforms and enhance mapping services that power navigation products worldwide.
No previous mapping experience is necessary – we provide comprehensive training and technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a vehicle equipped with advanced camera systems to gather 360-degree imagery.
- Adhere to daily predefined driving routes.
- Upload collected data from in-vehicle devices at the end of each shift.
- Perform routine equipment checks to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain communication with the technical support team regarding any issues or updates.
- Represent the program professionally while in public spaces.
Who You Are:
- A responsible driver with a strong comfort level with technology who enjoys working independently.
- You prioritize safety and vehicle maintenance, following all rules diligently.
Additional Information:
All necessary equipment, vehicles, and training will be provided. Candidates must successfully pass a background check, comply with regular safety screenings, and complete onboarding training. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility based on weather conditions and route completion. You should be prepared to drive up to 8 hours a day on public roads, occasionally covering long distances. Access to secure parking (ideally with CCTV) for the company vehicle is preferred, and assistance may be offered to qualifying candidates.
