About the job
Founding GTM Engineer (Series A Fintech / EdTech)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (In-Person, Full Time) | Seniority: Founding / Senior IC | Equity: Meaningful Founding Stake
Our Mission: Crafting the Financial Infrastructure for the $900B School Choice Movement.
We are an exclusive partner of a rapidly growing startup focused on developing the framework for Education Savings Accounts (ESAs). The $900B public education budget in the US is being unlocked, providing parents with direct control of approximately $7,500 per child annually.
This innovative company is designing a specialized charge card, a reimbursement engine, and a vendor marketplace that empowers this autonomy. With $16M raised from leading venture capitalists and a team that has already declined acquisition offers, this role represents a lifelong commitment for a founding contributor.
The Team: Exceptional Talent and Dedication
You will be immersed in a full-time in-person culture in Phoenix. Collaborate with:
- Founders: A former quant from Goldman Sachs and an engineer who developed global-scale computer vision systems at 19.
- Engineering & Risk: Former leads and AI researchers from Stripe, Mercury, SpaceX (Ad Astra), Microsoft, and Circle.
- Policy & Community: The former Deputy Director of a leading state ESA department and top national school choice advocates.
The Role: GTM as an Engineering Discipline
This position transcends traditional sales or marketing roles. We seek a Founding GTM Engineer to forge a community-driven growth engine that scales from hundreds of families to tens of thousands.
- Engineer Acquisition Loops: Transition from paid acquisition to building self-sustaining, community-focused flywheels through homeschool co-ops, education pods, and micro-influencers.
- Engage with Families: Spend time in the field with families to gain insights into trust factors and adoption triggers—transforming these insights into actionable GTM strategies.
- Data-Driven Approach: Develop funnels, establish feedback loops, and conduct cohort/retention analysis with the precision of a software engineer.
- Lead Onboarding Conversion: Take ownership of the onboarding funnel, targeting a crucial 500-account goal and beyond.
