Qualifications
ResponsibilitiesLead the architecture and design of low-latency FPGA-based signal-processing solutions, focusing on high-performance signal chains (e.g., modulation schemes, FFT/OFDM, channel coding, synchronization, equalization) close to the RF front-end. Oversee the entire FPGA development cycle from initial feasibility and architectural decisions through to implementation, validation, and delivery of reliable, production-ready designs. Conduct system-level analysis and simulations to validate architectural choices, understand real-world performance limits, and ensure the wireless link operates effectively under various constraints. Design and maintain comprehensive test benches and validation frameworks for efficiently testing complex DSP pipelines, quickly identifying issues and decreasing debug and integration times. Collaborate with hardware and embedded software teams to ensure seamless integration of FPGA designs into the overall system. Evaluate and select FPGA devices, tools, and ecosystems based on project constraints, including latency, RF performance, power consumption, and scalability. Define and document clear interfaces between FPGA, software, and hardware, creating architectures that are robust today and flexible enough to evolve in the future.

About the Role
As an FPGA Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our existing FPGA team, focusing on RF and signal-processing elements of our projects. This role is ideal for a highly autonomous individual who is comfortable taking ownership and making technical decisions. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of the FPGA-based signal-processing pipeline, working in tandem with hardware and embedded software engineers to ensure a robust, high-performance wireless link between drones and ground stations.
