Role overview

This freelance research physicist role focuses on creating and validating computational physics problems for AI training. Each project comes with its own requirements. Contributors may:

  • Develop original computational physics problems that reflect real research workflows
  • Design problems that require Python programming to solve, using libraries like Numpy, SciPy, and Sympy
  • Ensure problems are computationally challenging and cannot be solved by hand in a short timeframe
  • Include complex reasoning in fields such as mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics
  • Base problems on actual research challenges or practical physics applications
  • Verify solutions through Python and standard physics simulation libraries
  • Document problem statements clearly and provide accurate, validated answers

Requirements

  • Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a closely related field
  • Strong Python skills for numerical validation; experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar libraries is a plus
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in applied research or teaching
  • Background in numerical simulation methods
  • Ability to design problems that mirror real research workflows in physics
  • Creative problem-solving across multiple domains of physics
  • Solid understanding of physics modeling and approximation techniques
  • Excellent written English (C1 level or higher)
