Role Overview

This freelance research physicist position centers on creating and validating computational physics problems for AI training. Each project brings its own set of requirements. Contributors may:

  • Develop original computational physics problems that mirror real research workflows
  • Design problems requiring Python programming to solve, using libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, and Sympy
  • Ensure problems are computationally intensive and not solvable by hand within a few days or weeks
  • Craft problems involving complex reasoning in areas like mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics
  • Base problems on genuine research challenges or practical physics applications
  • Verify solutions using Python and standard physics simulation libraries
  • Document problem statements clearly and provide accurate, validated answers

Who Should Apply

This contract suits physicists with strong Python skills seeking flexible, non-permanent work. Successful contributors typically have:

  • A degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, computational) or a closely related field
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar libraries is helpful
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in applied research or teaching
  • Background in numerical simulation methods
  • Skill in designing problems that reflect real research workflows in physics
  • Creative problem-solving across multiple physics domains
  • Strong grasp of physics modeling and approximation techniques
  • Excellent written English (C1 level or higher)
