Your Role:
If you are an experienced and driven Generator Technician eager to develop your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced Telecom environment, Pearce Services has the perfect opportunity for you. As a Generator Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing commercial generators located on cell towers within your region. This position is ideal for self-motivated individuals who enjoy traveling and working independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot generators, diagnose issues, and replace components or entire systems as needed, while performing additional maintenance or upgrades on off-season equipment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and routine maintenance on generators to ensure optimal readiness, interpreting and applying blueprints or design specifications for installations or repairs.
- Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and other components, testing for proper functionality.
- Respond promptly to Power/Generator alarms, with the capability to be on-call 24/7, ensuring rapid response via assigned phone and email contacts.
- Perform work with a thorough understanding of safety hazards associated with the installation and upkeep of power supply equipment, switching gear, and related devices, including risks such as falls, electric shock, and traffic hazards. Utilize safety equipment and adhere to safety practices, participating in all required safety and training meetings.
