The Group Leader / HR Business Partner for Korea is responsible for delivering exceptional, end-to-end HR services to the Korea business, ensuring effective execution, compliance, and a positive employee experience across multiple legal entities.

Additionally, this role serves as a trusted HR Business Partner to the Korea leadership team, fostering organisational effectiveness, talent management, employee engagement, and performance enhancement.

As part of the ESR global HR community, you will also play a key role in driving the ongoing transformation of ESR’s HR delivery model by collaborating with ESR Global Centres of Expertise (COEs) and Shared Services to enhance consistency, scalability, and efficiency while keeping HR closely aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Local HR Delivery & Operations: Provide comprehensive HR services throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment support, onboarding, payroll management, benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with Korean labor laws and employment regulations, proactively adapting HR practices as necessary.
  • Oversee payroll and HR administration across various legal entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and robust controls.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, processes, and employment matters.
  • Maintain accurate HR data and employee records, ensuring system integrity across HR platforms.

HR Business Partnering with Leadership:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Korea leadership team on people and organizational matters, with a profound understanding of local business dynamics.
  • Support leaders with:
    • Workforce planning and organizational design
    • Performance management and employee development
    • Employee relations and risk management
    • Leadership effectiveness and team dynamics
  • Provide practical, solutions-oriented HR guidance that balances business priorities, employee experience, and Group governance.

Compensation, Performance & Rewards:

  • Lead the local implementation of ESR’s Group compensation framework, ensuring alignment with Group principles while considering local market practices and legal requirements.
