About the job
Greetings! We appreciate your interest in Lightspeed
Are you on the lookout for a thrilling new opportunity? Perhaps you're just exploring the market? Either way, you're in the right spot!
We are seeking a dedicated Hardware Product Manager to take charge of our hospitality and retail hardware portfolio. You will oversee the complete merchant experience, from selection, purchasing, receiving, setup, to operation and replacement, ensuring that our products are reliable, meet regional needs, and are profitable.
Your Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of the hospitality and retail hardware portfolio throughout its lifecycle, managing everything from launch to scale, lifecycle management, and eventual deprecation.
Develop and execute a multi-quarter roadmap that aligns with our broader hardware strategy, managing dependencies and driving measurable outcomes.
Lead innovative initiatives through their entire lifecycle: from discovery and requirements gathering to vendor selection, validation/testing, launch, iteration, and in-field support.
Engage with merchants (owners, managers, staff) to identify workflow challenges and translate insights into roadmap priorities.
Ensure supplier accountability regarding features, quality, cost, and lead times by leveraging field signals to facilitate corrective actions.
Influence cross-functional teams across Product, Design, Hardware Operations, Support, GTM, Finance, and Legal to ensure smooth launches and enhance portfolio profitability.
Your Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a hardware or hardware-enabled SaaS environment, with a proven track record of at least 1-2 successful end-to-end product launches.
Demonstrated expertise in managing the full hardware lifecycle: Discovery, Requirements, Selection, Testing, Launch, Iteration, and Deprecation.
Hands-on experience with hospitality workflows including Payments, POS, Mobile POS, Kitchen Display Systems, Kiosks, and Networking.
Proven cross-functional leadership skills across Product, Design, Operations/Supply Chain, Support, and GTM.
Who You Are
You assume extreme ownership and can work autonomously, taking initiative and responsibility in ambiguous situations.
You possess a strong product sense, leveraging merchant empathy to derive insights that drive product development.
