North Point Technology is hiring an HPC Linux Software Engineer to support research and development in a high-performance computing environment based in Colorado Springs. This position works on site, collaborating with users and technical teams to solve complex modeling and simulation problems and improve HPC software workflows.
What you will do
- Support HPC users and technical staff in a research and development setting, addressing workflow challenges on diverse, multi-platform systems.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based software for HPC environments, focusing on both existing codebases and distributed applications.
- Work closely with Technical User Support, team leads, Chief Scientists, clients, and site personnel to resolve technical issues and improve user efficiency.
- Participate in all phases of the software lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, coding, documentation, testing, and maintenance.
- Mentor junior engineers and scientists, lead code reviews, and create training materials, tutorials, and onboarding content for users and staff.

This position is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and requires on-site work.
