A passionate interest in HR, along with a desire to gain hands-on experience in employee engagement. Proven teamwork and stakeholder management skills, essential for building trust and relationships across diverse teams. Excellent judgment, particularly regarding confidential and sensitive information.

About the Role

Orchard is seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to oversee daily HR operations and enhance employee experience initiatives across the organization. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the HR team, engaging in activities such as onboarding and offboarding, managing employee experience programs, HRIS administration, and office management. The ideal candidate is eager to gain comprehensive exposure to various HR functions and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time hybrid position (3 days in-office) is located in Austin, TX, and reports directly to the Manager of People Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate smooth onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive experience for every employee from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to support various projects and daily tasks related to the employee lifecycle, including administering promotions, transfers, and maintaining employee records in our HRIS.
  • Work in partnership with managers and HR colleagues to address employee inquiries, escalate issues as necessary, and ensure HR workflows remain efficient.
  • Plan and implement employee-focused events and programs that foster a vibrant and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Support daily office operations and employee engagement initiatives, coordinating with IT, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient office environment.
