Role overview

The Implementation Engineer II plays a client-facing role, helping Axon deliver technology solutions to public safety partners. This position designs and implements system integrations, working closely with clients and project teams to establish effective processes that promote quality, productivity, and client satisfaction. The role operates with minimal supervision and provides technical services such as system interface design, technical project scoping, and system analysis.

Location and travel

  • Remote position with approximately 30% travel required
  • Must reside within commuting distance of one of these hubs: Scottsdale, AZ; Seattle, WA; Boston, MA; Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA
  • Reports to the Manager, Solutions Architect

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as a client-facing member of the Software Solutions Delivery Team
  • Collaborate with networking and software specialists to deliver Axon technology to a variety of clients, including public safety organizations
  • Assess IT system architectures to scope technical projects, recommend improvements, conduct Information Security assessments, and participate in architecture review boards
  • Oversee technical projects both remotely and at client sites
  • Communicate project updates to both technical and non-technical client stakeholders
  • Work with account management to address customer needs
  • Deliver high-quality service during Axon software implementations
  • Identify integration opportunities between agency systems (cloud or on-premises) and Axon products
  • Recommend deployment strategies for integrations that align with agency objectives
