Qualifications:Must be available to work onsite in Washington, DC. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of progressive, hands-on experience in Information Assurance and Certification & Accreditation (C&A). Proven experience as an ISSO supporting federal government information systems. Familiarity with ISO, NIST, and U. S. government standards.

Status: Exempt

Salary: $110,000.00

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the IT Security Support Team to manage and operate a comprehensive information systems security program for a U. S. government client.
  • Deliver technical support in vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, network security, product evaluations, security implementations, and remediation efforts.
  • Assist in designing and implementing solutions that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
  • Conduct identification, evaluation, investigation, and remediation of cyber and insider threats through technical support and analysis.
  • Evaluate Civil Division systems and recommend enhancements for improved security.
  • Participate in developing information system contingency plans that ensure adequate protection and minimize operational impacts to the Civil Division.
  • Assess current levels of cybersecurity, provide recommendations on risk levels, and train personnel on appropriate cybersecurity protocols.
  • Evaluate security products and recommend technologies and upgrades to bolster the Civil Division systems' security posture.
  • Conduct testing and audit log reviews to assess the efficacy of existing security measures.
  • Engage in the management and accreditation processes of Civil Division systems by evaluating and certifying compliance with FISMA, NIST security guidelines, and departmental policies.
