Role Overview: Security Engineer (Remote)
This Security Engineer role combines hands-on engineering with defense-focused security work. The position centers on designing, building, and securing cloud-native services for the Game Warden platform. Expect to collaborate closely with a team that values creativity, technical skill, and a shared sense of mission.
Location and Eligibility
- Remote role, but candidates must reside in one of these areas:
- Washington D. C./Maryland/Virginia
- Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, NC
- Denver/Colorado Springs, CO
- Dallas/Fort Worth, TX
- U. S. citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain security automation and monitoring microservices using Go (Golang).
- Develop and manage security automation solutions for Azure, using Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Monitor, and Azure AD.
- Improve SIEM integrations, log pipelines, and threat detection logic across AWS, Kubernetes, and application environments.
- Create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Pulumi in Go to deploy secure cloud-native services.
- Automate incident detection and response, integrating with AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, and Wazuh.
- Set up and manage dashboards, alerts, and playbooks to support real-time monitoring and Blue Team operations.
