A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a commercial or healthcare tenant development environment. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD and related design software. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively within a team setting.

The Interior Designer and Construction Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing interior construction projects from initial concept to final execution. This position entails ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget across a diverse portfolio of multi-site medical office buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of each project, ensuring comprehensive oversight of the scope of work.
  • Conduct thorough site surveys to assess existing conditions and perform field measurements.
  • Create detailed space plans, pricing documents, design development packages, and construction documentation.
  • Exhibit strong knowledge of building codes, TAS/ADA requirements, and healthcare design standards.
  • Prepare and issue bid invitations, while thoroughly qualifying incoming bids.
  • Review change orders and manage approvals for all pay applications.
  • Establish and maintain project budgets to ensure financial accountability.
  • Facilitate construction progress meetings to track project status.
  • Evaluate contractor submittals and respond to RFIs during the construction phase.
  • Generate internal and external reports regarding job status and progress.
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a keen attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Foster effective communication with clients and team members throughout project phases.
