Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a strong foundational knowledge in IT and digital systems integration. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with CRM systems, data analytics tools, and cybersecurity practices is highly desirable.

About the job

Biocytogen is on the lookout for a dynamic and motivated early-career technology specialist to spearhead vital digital systems that bolster our rapidly expanding Contract Research Organization (CRO) operations. As the IT & Digital Systems Integration Specialist, you will be the driving force behind the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of our digital platforms, encompassing CRM systems, analytics tools, new platform rollouts, and robust cybersecurity measures.

This is not just a support role; you will take the lead in integration projects, make critical technical decisions, and work collaboratively with business, scientific, and operational teams. You’ll have the autonomy to experiment, recommend cutting-edge tools, implement automation, and shape our technological strategies to accelerate drug discovery.

If you are a proactive individual with a solid technical background, a knack for problem-solving, and a passion for making a tangible impact in the biotech industry, this is your chance to innovate and lead from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Platform and System Development / Implementation

  • Lead the complete lifecycle (requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, implementation, user acceptance testing, deployment, and change management) of new IT platforms and systems, including project management tools, data repositories, and workflow automation systems.
  • Collaborate with scientific and operational teams to identify internal needs and translate them into functional, scalable digital solutions.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend systems that enhance Biocytogen's operational excellence and client service capabilities.

2. IT Platform Integration

  • Architect and oversee the integration of key platforms (LIMS, ERP, CRM, CMS, Client Portal, financial systems) across business units.
  • Design and manage secure, real-time data flows between internal systems and external collaborators or clients.
  • Partner with vendors and software teams to optimize API connectivity and middleware layers.

3. CRM Management & Data Analytics Support

  • Maintain, customize, and scale the company’s CRM (e.g., Netsuite, HubSpot), aligning it with business development and project tracking workflows.
  • Integrate CRM with marketing automation and business intelligence tools.
  • Enable strategic decision-making through reports, dashboards, and data cleaning/normalization pipelines.

4. AI & Automation Integration

  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI/ML capabilities in data processing, client interaction, and R&D workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal scientific teams to develop AI-driven solutions for operational efficiency and predictive analytics.
  • Evaluate and manage AI vendors, ensuring scientific and regulatory compliance.

5. Cybersecurity & IT Support

  • Lead Biocytogen’s cybersecurity strategy, ensuring robust protection of digital assets.
